In MasterCores the death losses are very traditional, with a twist when it comes to player-killing.
Basic loss is 10% of your total experience, magic, skills and each equipped item and 100% of container items.
When you get promotion you'll have 7% losses of experience, magic, skills and equipped items but still 100% of container items.
There are 5 blessings you can obtain there each bless reduce your losses by 1% each.
The lowest loss you can reach with all blessings and promotion is 2%.
But to protect items and containers you will need an amulet of loss!
But when it comes to player-killing, there is a
death reduction system that protects you from unfair deaths.
If you are killed at a very low level by an incredible high leveled player, you will lose almost nothing.
If you have not been involved in PVP actions for the last 24 hours and have no frags, you will be extra protected against ambushes, there multiple players might go and kill you.
For example if you're a high level that plays peacefully but gets ambushed by jealous team that have maybe 50 players and all are there to kill you, you don't stand much of a chance.
But thanks to the extra protection your loss will be a lot lower and possible the loss will be so low that you don't even lose any items.
However, the death reduction will not help you if you have white or red skull or if you unprovoked attacked another player recently.
The reduction system is a design to protect dedicated players from being targets of less dedicated players who just seek to kill players for fun on dangerous levels.
Game killing such as trying to make players unable to play the game until nobody is left online.
